I am going to start sharing with you guys some of my favorite fonts, FREE fonts that is. This is one I use quite a bit. Smäm from the blog sara woodrow is a lady that does it all, illustration, design, phtography, graphic design, and proud momma! Her blog has been one of my favs for a while. It is full of great DIYs, design inspiration, fabulous photography and she also sells graphic prints (lots of typographic posters)... LOVE. Recently she gave my lil' ol' blog a shout out! ampersands

Did you know that ampersands were originally the most common ligatures? I think I knew that, but was refreshed when doing a blog post about ligatures for work. Of course we don't refer to ampersands as ligatures anymore, but made their debut as the combination of the letters "e" and "t", et, the Latin word for and. So there yah go! Fun fact for the day.

First post! June 4th 2011

hello! I have a bit of catching up to do with this blog...the big day is June 4th, ahhh dangerously close. As I play catch with the blog, I still have loads to finish up for the big day...menus, programs, seating charts, flowers to be made, wine labels to be designed and the mighty list only continues. I thought it would be a appropriate for my first post to be my save the date invite...as a friendly reminder for myself as the days slowly creep away, and my anxiety builds.
