I am embarrassed to admit it, but I'm just going to come out with it...before this weekend's photoshop bootcamp that is
blogshop, I have been doing
all my blog posts in illustrator. Even when it comes to my day job, I try to do everything in indesign and have avoided photoshop like the plague. And if you're a anything like me, you know it's all just because you haven't taken the time to sit down and actually learn it. These ladies,
Bri &
Angela (the teachers behind blogshop), did just that. We started with the basics, properly making use of every short cut and learned the program from the ground up. I left feeling soooo much more comfortable in the software and excited to get creative with it!
Along with the learning I met a bunch of new (and not to mention talented) friends. Photographers, crafters, moms, each lady I met was ambitious and oozing creativity. In the next couple of days I am going to put together a medley of the products some of these ladies make. Seriously, so good!
If you are ever on the fence about going to blogshop, let me just be the one to give you a little push and say DO IT! I know it is expensive, but it was worth every penny! Happy Monday guys!
Funny you say that because I was suspecting you were using either indesign or illustrator to get all your cool shapes in your posts. Photoshop is great, but sometimes vector is just what you need :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteSpot on lady! Now I finally learned how to properly manipulate imagery to back up those nifty vectors! Had so many ah-hah moments this weekend : >
